Cold but not the Cold Hard Facts

It is cold down here on the gulf, at least by our standards. Freezing in November, eww. So, up at the campground office there are these brochures about seafood safety monitoring since the oil disaster. It is expensively printed in full color with pretty pictures of delicious looking shrimp and even a lovely scene of a shrimper. It makes me really hungry for those little darlings. Seafood is my favorite. BUT I would be more likely to eat the picture than the real thing. Most of the test mentioned were conducted months ago and they say as of August, the seafood is safe. And that there are no dangerous levels of oil or dispersants. Oh well the mighty "they" say aspartame is safe also. I thought I remembered reading recently that there are just no real test for dispersants yet. And testing a shrimp that has been cleaned and deveined is not the same as testing one that you throw in the pot to boil whole. The brochure has a list of agencies to contact if you have questions but does not say who published it, hmmm. One of the websites you can go to for more info...BP.  I need one of those t shirts that say "BP Beyond Pissed."
